I’ve been creating dog, cat, and equestrian jewelry, sculpture, miniatures, and collectibles for 35 years. But over the past decade there was that little matter of getting four children through college and launched in their lives (though I’d have to say they did the heavy lifting!) I went back to grad school and (briefly) contemplated a career in the real world.
Now with the kids grown and mostly gone, I’m back in my studio and eager to try some new things. In addition to carving and sculpting waxes for lost wax casting, I’m working in precious metal clay, porcelain, stoneware, and mixed media. I’ve also mostly stopped making jewelry in order to concentrate on bronze sculpture and functional art.
I live with my partner, my youngest son (also a sculptor), and an assortment of animals on 31 acres in northeastern Vermont.
